Important information about your card.

Where can I use the card?

Not all countries or merchants have Chip and PIN technology. Please refer to www.cashpassport.com/multi before you leave. You can access this information on the 'Before You Go' tab and select the country you are travelling to.

Where can't I use the card?

The card can only be used outside the Common Monetary Area (South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia). In addition, there may be some other countries where usage of the card is prohibited. Please verify this list of prohibited countries at www.cashpassport.com/multi.

Does the card earn interest?

The card does not generate any interest or any other similar return. You do not earn interest on the amount standing to the credit of the Multi-currency Cash Passport™ funds, accessed by the card.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

Report lost or stolen card immediately
Card can only be used by the beneficiary
Free replacement of lost or stolen cards
Additional card available as back up

What are the exchange control requirements?

A South African resident over the age of 18 is entitled to a Single Discretionary Allowance of up to R1 million per calendar year
Single Discretionary Allowance is valid for a calendar year (1 January - 31 December)
Foreign currency for travel purposes may not be bought more than 60 days prior to your departure
Any unutilised portion of a travel allowance must be resold to an Authorised Dealer within 30 days of your return
Children under the age of 18 years qualify for a travel allowance of R200,000 per calendar year
